Sunday February 3, 2008 - Rest Day

You will find that when following the crossfit WOD that every fourth day is a REST day. How appropriate that is sometimes falls on Sunday.

Remember than lean muscle isn't built in the gym - its built when muscles rest, repair and are well nourished. I frequently do Yoga or the P90X stretch DVD on Rest day or engage in SPORT.

Attached today is a video from the Crossfit website on how to squat properly (squats coming tomorrow!) Notice the form and how low she goes!

You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand."

Woodrow Wilson

28th President of the United States

GLENDALE, Ariz. - A pilot assigned to the Arizona Air National Guard's 162nd Fighter Wing based in Tucson, flies an F-16 Fighting Falcon over University of Phoenix Stadium before Super Bowl weekend kicks off. Two fighter jets flew slow and low over the Phoenix metropolitan area Friday making approaches at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, Sky Harbor Airport, Scottsdale, Deer Valley, Glendale and Goodyear. The purpose of the pre-game flight was to raise public awareness that U.S. air defenses would be at work Sunday enforcing the FAA's temporary flight restriction over the National Football League's championship game while ensuring the safety of the crowd.
