Today is one of my FAVORITE Crossfit WOD's (workout of the day!)Saturday 080202 - Pictured Team Tabata Situps!
"Tabata Something Else"
Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest where the
first 8 intervals are pull-ups,
the second 8 are push-ups,
the third 8 intervals are sit-ups,
and finally, the last 8 intervals are squats.
There is no rest between exercises.
This means that you do 8 sets of pullups max reps for 20 seconds with 10 seconds rest in between sets.
One way to look at it is you will perform each exercise for 4 minutes - with 8 work intervals of 20 seconds and 8 rest intervals of 10 seconds.
Then repeat the 8 sets for pushups, situps, and squats!
Post total reps from all 32 intervals to comments.

Tabata Squat intervals
Apply the same 20 on, 10 off intervals to the situps and the pull-ups!
My son Mitchell did this one with me today! When he got too tired to do pushups, he simply held a plank position. When he got too tired to do pullups he held the top position of the pullup and eventually migrated to the bottom position of the pullup!
One of the advantages of this workout is that with the exception of the pullups - NO EQUIPMENT is required. I wrote a paper for Delta Air Lines a few years ago on Road Warrior Fitness. The Tabata pushup, air squat, and situp sequence are perfect for a hotel room when you can't get to a gym!
