Well it was back to work at Delta Air Lines for me today. I can't complain, I have been with Delta for 10 years and though the airline industry has seen better days, I have thoroughly enjoyed the people and my experience. Much like some of the longer days in Balad, when the airline industry has gotten dim I am reminded that we can always adjust our outlook and attitude. I have 2 trips left as a Salt Lake City, Utah based MD-90 co-pilot before I head to Atlanta for a month of training on the Boeing 767. I will then be based in New York and will fly international trips to Europe.
Because I am in the Air National Guard I am able to "drop" Delta trips without pay; consequently I fly about 50% of the schedule of a normal airline pilot which allows for more flexibility in my family schedule and accomodates my military flying and business pursuits.
On the crossfit front today the WOD is a Killer - be sure and do a proper warmup and coodown stretch.
