
I know that many of you following the Crossfit WOD are perplexed with what to do on the "REST" day every third day. Even in Balad we did Yoga on Thursdays and an hour of P90X Stretch on Sundays. If you read the Crossfit philospohy carefully in the Crossfit journals you know that "SPORT" is one of the goals of Crossfit.
Generally on my rest days I engage in sport like Basketball or do Yoga, which my mind body and muscles appreciate! I have had the opportunity to expand my Yoga horizons back home in Evergreen, having done a "Bikram Yoga" class with my wife last week. Today I did the P90X Yoga X DVD at home with my kids. I also ordered Yoga DVD's from the www.ashtanga.net website based on the recommendation of my buddy, Balad Commander, General Burt Field.
Another highlight today was attending Jonah's third grade Science Fair. He put in a great deal of effort tracking the rate at which different verities of cheese mold. All on his own, he meticulously tabulated the number of new mold colonies on a daily basis. Jonah is pictured with his science project.
