Attitude versus Environment

One of the most successful people I know taught me a valuable phrase. When asked how he is doing, he always answers, "I am having the singularly greatest day of my entire life!" Regardless of the weather, the circumstances, or challenges, his answer and his attitude are always the same.

We all face challenges and hurdles in our lives. Having a good attitude on good days carries little weight with me. Show me someone smiling passionately in the face of adversity! One of my favorite principles: You can't control your environment, but you can always control your attitude!

I continue to be impressed with athletes, soldiers and citizens alike that attain positive attitudes in spite of the conditions!
